Restricted jurisdictions

Last updated: 29 September 2026 · This page forms part of our Terms of Service and may be updated from time to time.
We do not licence the Application to residents of, or persons located in, the jurisdictions listed below. If you are in one of them, please do not purchase. If a licence is issued in error, we will cancel it and the amount paid is refunded through Link (Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe), the merchant of record for our orders.

A. Jurisdictions excluded because of CFD restrictions

Trading contracts for difference (CFDs) is prohibited or heavily restricted for retail clients in these places. We exclude these jurisdictions so that the Application and our Server Service are not used where the underlying activity is not permitted.

JurisdictionReason
United States CFDs are not available to retail residents; brokers regulated elsewhere do not open accounts for US persons
Belgium FSMA prohibits the distribution of certain CFDs and OTC derivatives to retail clients, and prohibits their advertising
Hong Kong SAR provision of CFD services to retail investors is not permitted
Japan severe restrictions on retail leveraged trading; brokers routinely exclude
New Zealand brokers commonly exclude; restricted retail access
France digital advertising of CFDs is prohibited

B. Jurisdictions excluded as a matter of commercial caution

We also do not licence the Application to residents of the following, because of the complexity of the applicable restrictions and payment-related compliance:

This is our commercial decision. It is not a statement that every resident of those countries is a sanctioned person.

C. Sanctions

Separately from sections A and B, we do not supply the Application to any person who is listed under, or owned or controlled by a person listed under, sanctions administered by the European Union, the United Nations, the United Kingdom or the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

We also do not supply the Application where its supply would breach a territorial sanctions measure applicable to us.

Sanctions lists change. This obligation applies as those lists stand from time to time, whether or not this page has been updated.

D. Your responsibility

You are responsible for confirming that purchasing and using the Application is lawful where you live, and for the accuracy of the declaration you give at checkout. Using a VPN, a proxy or a false declaration to obtain a licence is a breach of the Terms of Service and entitles us to suspend or terminate the licence immediately.

If we do, we refund to you, through Link, the pro-rata part of any amount you have already paid for the unused remainder of your current billing period. We keep that amount only where we can demonstrate deliberate abuse — in particular resale, sharing or sub-licensing of your licence key, redistribution of the Application or its output, or circumvention of a licensing or technical limitation (sections 6 and 14 of the Terms of Service). A false declaration about where you live is not on that list: the licence ends, but the unused part of what you paid is refunded to you. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
